Snowmen and Christmas Trii's

So today we began to decorate the house with Christmas stuff. I love doing this and it reminds me every year how much I love this season. I put on my Christmas Mix I just made and danced through my house placing snowmen and santa's and garland all around. The pine scented candle filled the house and the smell immediately made me think of my childhood, when we would all go as a family into the mountains to the Christmas Tree Farm and pick out the perfect new addition to our home. I would pet the goats and ride the ponies, and my Mom always had cinnamon rolls for the drive up. Fantastic.

I am so ready to start shopping and wrapping, but I can't.. well not yet at least because it's Black Friday and I'm not a crazy person with a death wish.

Tonight I get to see some friends who have come into town for the weekend.. well "wii-kend" to be exact. I am going to go get dressed and ready to go hang out with them. Yay!

How evergreen your branches...

My room is clean, my candles are lit, I am listening to Radiohead and I have a miniature rotating Christmas tree on my desk.

Life is good.

a.m. writing..

I woke up at 8:47 this morning. I don't have to be at work until eleven. I think my body is forcing me into responsibility.

I am having a hard time putting all of my goals in one place. They are like little dancing fireflies and I can't seem to get them all in the jar at once. Once I manage to get one or two, another flies out. It makes me want more time in the day, and more energy for that matter. Maybe that's why I chose to jam pack my December, as if Christmas wasn't enough. I am flying more places I can keep track of, and I am wondering when I will have time for sleep. Forget the planes. You can't sleep on planes. Whenever I travel anywhere I am always inclined to take my pillow from home. It's just so much more comfortable, and it makes it seem like home isn't so far away. However it's not important enough to occupy the space where three more outfits could go.

I am so estatic to go to H&M. If you haven't been to H&M you are missing out. It's my favorite clothing store ever. Picture Urban Outfitters meets Express meets Forever 21. The thing that makes it so great is that everything in the store is super cheap. I feel so mischievious walking away with an amazing shirt that I bought in midtown Manattan for only $12 (and it doesn't even say I <3 NY on it) A big part of the appeal is that they only had stores on the East Coast. Then they built one in San Francisco (understandably) and now Pasadena, which has kind of ruined the magic for me. I just tell myself that the one 45 minutes to me is not nearly as special and doesn't have clothes that are anyway comparable as my NY love. Oh well. The more the merrier right?

Well, I think I will enjoy a bowl of Kashi before I start getting ready for work. Long day today... Thanksgiving rush! Whew!

*crickets*

I have come to terms with the fact that no one reads my blogs anymore.

Now I am going to go cry on the floor in the fetal position.

Aspirations?

I haven't written anything in awhile, so here goes.. long overdue.

Aside from working full time, working and travelling with Matrix, and having a somewhat decent social life I have decided that I am, in fact, not busy enough. I want to go back to school. Not like full time or anything... I mean, don't get me wrong, I would love to have a degree and I applaud people who go to years and years of school... but I just don't see it as entirely benificial to where I am in my life right now. I make good money at the salon and love what I do, I don't see myself changing careers anytime soon.

I do, however want to take some select classes at Chaffey again. (Community College about 10 minutes from my house.) I have been itching to learn graphic design.. just some basic stuff. I mean, wouldn't be nice if I didn't have to ask my friends incessantly about how to do trivial stuff in photoshop or how to code this or that or blah blah? I also am looking into an art class and while I'm at it, why not take photography? I have been dabbling into traditional art over the past month or so, and who knew? I can kinda sorta draw! All these years I though my brother got all the drawing genes and there were none left for me. (Sorry I got all the good looking genes, Craig)

So anyway... that's my new plan... let's see how it pans out.

On another note, Coulter taught me how to make the Apple symbol, and I think it is sooo cool. 

No sticker for me.

This is about how useful I feel right now.

I did not vote. I did not know who to vote for. I didn't even know there was an election today until I was reminded. I am a horrible Californian, and now I will go grab some tea.

Why haven't I written anything?

I don't know.
